Ripple

Everything we do impacts ourselves, families, friends, and people we don’t get to see.

As the owner of a business, I feel like I get to see some of those ripples a bit further away (I don’t imply my impact is more or less than other people with differing job titles; just happens to be the one I hold). Whether the decisions are large (bringing on a new team member or signing a new client) or small (approving a design tweak), those decisions can impact:

  1. The person executing the task (and all the edits to it)
  2. Our client (and the people they work alongside)
  3. Our client’s customers (and possibly their families, friends, and co-workers)

We build some amazing websites. However, you won’t ever hear me say that our work is more vital than that of a surgeon (amongst many, many other professions).

However, our work does have an impact outside of just “dollar bills,” just like your work does.

If you only remember one thing, remember, you are a ripple effect.

The question then is: what do you want that initial impact to be to cause those ripples?
